vitals is a private tool for keeping one family's medical care organized. Using it means agreeing to what follows. It is offered as-is, for free, to people who have been invited.
Who can use it
Access is by invitation only, for adults helping manage care for a member of their own family, and with that person's knowledge. Your sign-in is yours; don't share it. Access to a patient's record can be granted or removed at any time by whoever administers that patient's circle.
This is not medical advice
vitals stores and organizes information. It does not interpret it. Summaries and agenda suggestions are generated by an AI model and can be incomplete or wrong, and transcripts of recorded visits can mishear words — including drug names and dosages. Treat everything here as notes, not as a clinical record. Confirm anything that matters with the clinician who said it, and never make a treatment decision based on what this app shows.
In an emergency, call your local emergency number. vitals is not monitored and no one is alerted by anything you enter into it.
Recording visits
The recording feature exists so a family member can remember what was said. Whether you may record a conversation, and whose permission you need first, depends on the law where you are and on the practice's own policy — some places require every person present to consent. Getting that permission is your responsibility, not the app's. Ask before you record.
Your information
What you put into vitals stays yours. The privacy policy describes what is stored, which services process it, and how to have it deleted. You are responsible for what you enter, including that you have the right to enter someone else's health information.
Connected accounts
Connecting Google Calendar, a patient portal, or a fitness account grants vitals the access those services describe on their consent screen, and nothing beyond it. You can disconnect in the app or revoke access from the service itself at any time. Those services set their own terms, and how they behave is up to them.
No warranty
vitals is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable, lose data, or stop existing. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Nothing here creates a professional or clinical relationship, and to the extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from using it.
Acceptable use
Don't use vitals to store information you have no right to, don't attempt to reach another family's data, and don't try to break or overload it. Access may be removed for any of these.
Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them, and everyone using the app is told directly.
